Project Background

Located on the south-east coast of NSW, this project is a 320MW addition of a gas-fired power station that can supply power at full capacity within 30 minutes of start-up, supporting the grid during peak demand. It forms a fundamental role in reducing harmful emissions through unsustainable, environmentally damaging power generation, by improving efficiency of the existing Tallawarra A 440MW gas-fired power station.

Holding the position of being Australia’s first net-zero emissions plant, the Tallawarra Power Station is crucial in the progress toward NSW’s environmental target of reaching net zero by 2050. Power is generated using a combination of both green hydrogen and natural gas, with Tallawarra B alone producing sufficient energy to power over 180,000 homes in NSW.

We’re proud to have contributed to the development of this major project, supplying Secondary System Cables, Instrumentation Cables and Fibre Optic Cables, delivered with an unwavering commitment to quality, service and innovation.
