The Southern Highlands Overtaking Opportunity – Werai project forms part of ARTC’s broader network upgrade program, improving train flow on the Sydney–Melbourne corridor. By introducing new overtaking infrastructure at Werai, the project helps reduce congestion and enhance reliability for both freight and passenger services.
Amplex supplied a vast range of instrumentation, power, control cable, compliant to ARTC network specifications, to support signalling and trackside infrastructure across the project. These systems play a critical role in enabling safe train movements, improving network visibility, and supporting operational efficiency across the corridor.
This project contributes to the ongoing strengthening of Australia’s rail network, where reliable power and signalling infrastructure are essential to maintaining uptime, managing traffic flow, and supporting future network capacity.
