The Molonglo Substation project supports the expansion of Canberra’s Molonglo Valley, delivering new infrastructure to meet increasing electrical demand across emerging residential and commercial precincts. The development of a new zone substation provides critical capacity to support network growth and maintain reliable power supply across the region.
Amplex cable was utilised across high-voltage and low-voltage systems within the substation, forming key connections between plant and equipment. These systems enable safe energisation, system control, and efficient power distribution across the site.
By supporting the connectivity between major substation components, the installation underpins ongoing network reliability and helps ensure the infrastructure can meet future load growth across the Molonglo Valley.
