With the capacity to power 66,000 homes for 2 hours during peak demand, the 200MW Greenbank Battery Energy Storage System is connected to Powerlink Queensland’s Greenbank Substation, supplying electricity to the Gold Coast, Logan and South Brisbane region. This $300 million project consists of 108 2XL unit Tesla Megapacks, and is scheduled to become fully operational by mid-2025.
