Woodman Point Water Treatment Facilities Upgrade – Project Overview

The Woodman Point Water Treatment Facilities Upgrade, located in Munster, Western Australia, is part of a critical infrastructure project within a coastal industrial precinct. This site supports essential water treatment and processing operations for the region.

Due to the facility’s coastal location, it faces challenging environmental conditions such as salt exposure, high temperatures, and variable ground conditions. These factors create additional demands on electrical infrastructure, making durable and standards-compliant cabling essential for reliable long-term performance.

To support the project, Amplex supplied over 160,000 metres of specialised low voltage, medium voltage, earth, and fibre cabling across the site. These cables were provided at customised lengths to reduce waste, improve installation efficiency, and ensure alignment with project-specific design requirements.

Project supply highlights:

  • 160,557 metres of LV, MV, earth, and fibre cable supplied
  • 227 cable drums delivered at customised lengths
  • Improved installation efficiency and reduced on-site material waste

Logistics and supply flexibility played a key role in maintaining project momentum. A combination of stock availability, express supply, and standard lead times ensured consistent delivery throughout the construction program.

Logistics and delivery:

  • 11 deliveries coordinated across the project
  • 28 drums supplied directly from stock
  • 7 × 40-foot containers used for bulk transport
  • Maintained continuity of supply with no project disruption

Overall, the Woodman Point upgrade strengthens the reliability of essential water treatment infrastructure in Western Australia. By supporting efficient and continuous plant operations, the project contributes to environmental management, community services, and long-term regional growth.

Through the delivery of tested and compliant cabling solutions — meeting Australian standards such as AS/NZS 5000 — the project reinforces confidence in locally supplied infrastructure. It also highlights the importance of flexible logistics, technical support, and stock availability in delivering complex industrial projects across Australia.
